Braun Racing to field Four cars in Nationwide Series in 2010, Brian Scott announced as fourth driver

Todd Braun, who was a former racer, started Braun Racing in 2002 and fielded a car in the ARCA Re/Max Series for Chad Blount. The team got four wins and five poles, in that season which made Braun to try the Nationwide Series on a limited bases the next year.

Braun then decied to run full time in the Nationwide Series in 2004 as well as ARCA, and with Jamie McMurray got the teams first Nationwide Series win. For ARCA he had Ryan Hemphill who in 13 starts was able to get six wins.

In 2005 the team focused solely on the Nationwide Series and since has continued to grow his organization. The team has grown so much that Braun Racing announced Monday that the team would have four entries in the 2010 Nationwide Series season, and that Brain Scott would driver the fourth and new car.

"It's been a great ride, from where we started as a no-name ARCA team in 2002, to where we are today, It's been a lot of hard work, but it's something I am very proud of. Expanding into a four-car team is not something I ever fathomed, but I have a great group of hard-working, dedicated people behind me that have helped to make it happen. We also have the support of our outstanding marketing partners and without them, we wouldn't be here. To say that I am proud of what we have all built together is an understatement. We welcome Brian Scott to the team and we're looking forward to a very successful year in 2010." --Todd Braun

Brain Scott is from Boise, Idaho. he got his start racing mini-sprints on dirt tracks throughout Idaho and Washington. He moved to North Carolina in 2006 so he could focus on his racing career. He ran a limited number of races in the USAR Hooter's Pro Cup Series and ARCA Series.

Scott has one win nine top-five and 19 top-10 finishes in his two season in the Camping World Truck Series. he has also made five Nationwide starts this year, driving Braun Racing's No. 10 entry. His debut coming in the April race at Nashville.

"I am really excited to have the opportunity to join forces with Braun Racing next season, we had some great runs this year, which I think is a solid building block for what we want to accomplish in 2010. Braun Racing is an outstanding organization, with first-rate equipment and an extremely talented crew and staff. As a driver entering his first season of full-time competition in the Nationwide Series, you can't ask to be in a better situation. Daytona can't get here fast enough for me!" -- Brain Scott

The Sponsor, as well as car number and crew chief for Braun Racing's fourth car is going to be announced some time in the coming weeks.
